Golden Lily

That evening, together with my cousin, after entering the forest, we saw how all the lilies had been bitten, probably by deer, and none were left for me to photograph. In addition, dozens, perhaps hundreds, of mosquitoes attacked us. I no longer counted on any photos and resigned myself to the fact that I would leave empty-handed. However, walking as fast as possible to escape the mosquitoes, we continued along the path until we came across beautiful full-grown lilies in full bloom. I had to shoot extremely fast and handheld because of the mosquitoes. I managed to find a point of view in which the lily looks majestic and equal next to two large mature trees and thus underlines its importance and beauty within the Pooder floodplain forest. 2023
